I was in Silicon Valley in 2005. I went to Intalio, but also met some execs at PeopleSoft. What really floored me back then was the way the Americans invest in projects, willing to write off 9 out of 10 because if they picked well, the 10th would give them a nice big return. I’d heard of the way startups got funding, and was interested in incubators, but never imagined the scale and pace of investment. Startup3, from the EU, aims to break geographical and national boundaries, joining together ideas, facilitators and investors from all over the planet. https://startup3.eu/. Very interesting.
